Fantasy Online 2 Pets and Pet Skills Guide

Pet eggs teach pet skills. You can collect an egg before Rebirth, but the character must Rebirth before casting the learned pet skill. Start with Pet Trainer Rae, then use egg and skill pages to compare ranks, effects, and sources.

Rebirth unlocks the ability to use pet skills

Reach level 60, complete Rebirth, and then cast learned pet skills. Pet eggs can be owned earlier; the progression restriction applies when the pet skill is used. Only one pet effect is active at a time.

The complete level route and the NPCs involved are listed in the Rebirth and Ascension guide.

Pet Trainer Rae gives the first post-Rebirth pet route

  1. Rebirth and return to Noob Island.
  2. Talk to Pet Trainer Rae.
  3. Accept the one-time starter-pet quest.
  4. Defeat the required Soft Shell Crabs.
  5. Use the rewarded Pet Crab Egg to learn Pet Crab.
The egg teaches the skill; it is not a permanent equipment slot in the build planner.

Each egg page connects the pet skill to its source

Search an egg name in the item directory. Its page identifies the learned skill and lists reviewed acquisition sources such as a specific mob, zone, quest, shop, or event. Follow the mob and zone links instead of assuming every egg drops everywhere.

Pet variants can teach different ranks and effects

Open the corresponding skill page to see its rank, duration, cooldown, energy cost, description, and learning items. Higher-rank eggs are separate items; a similar sprite or name does not make two effects interchangeable.

Pet effects include combinations of recovery, armor, attack power, critical chance, energy, speed, and other published modifiers. Compare the exact skill text and rank before choosing a farming target.

Find pets by following item → source → location

  1. Search for “Pet” plus the creature name.
  2. Open the egg item and review “How to get it.”
  3. Open a listed mob to verify its zone-specific drop context.
  4. Open the zone's interactive map to find the spawn area.
  5. Use the drop calculator when an exact public chance is available.

The database navigation guide explains this relationship chain in more detail.

Pet effects are not silently added to build totals

The build planner calculates persistent attributes, equipment, implants, and eligible set bonuses it can verify. Temporary pet effects depend on an actively cast skill, so they remain on skill pages rather than being assumed in every shared build.
