The quick answer

Open a zone, use the map markers to identify mobs and NPCs, and open the full map for wheel zoom and drag-to-pan. Clicking a marker goes to the corresponding detail page, where drops, quests, shops, or other relationships can be checked.

Sprites identify mobs and NPCs without hiding the map

Mob and NPC markers use their game art when space permits. Color and border treatments distinguish marker types, while separate symbols identify graveyards and other map features. Desktop hover details give a quick identity check before navigation.

A marker represents published game placement data. It is a navigation aid, not a live tracker of what is currently spawned on a game server.

Nearby placements of the same mob become one readable area

Closely related placements can be enclosed by a boundary and represented by one centered sprite marker. The boundary preserves the useful spawn region while avoiding a pile of overlapping dots that suggests more precision than players need.

Hovering the area or its marker identifies the mob on desktop. When markers overlap, the more specific point interaction takes priority so the intended link remains selectable.

Use the full map for detailed inspection

The embedded map provides a quick overview. The full-map link opens a larger interactive view where the mouse wheel zooms and dragging pans across the zone. Pixel art remains nearest-neighbor scaled so tiles do not become blurry at larger sizes.

Zoom out to understand the route, then zoom in around buildings, bridges, entrances, or grouped spawn areas. Open the linked entity only after confirming the marker is in the part of the zone you intend to visit.

Touch navigation avoids hover-only blockers

Mobile does not require a tooltip to appear before a tap can navigate. Use touch gestures to inspect the map and tap a marker to open its page. This keeps the first interaction useful on devices without a true hover state.

Combine map position with the zone relationships

  1. Open the target mob, NPC, shop, quest, or recipe station.
  2. Follow its zone relationship and locate the marker or area.
  3. Check nearby entrances, graveyards, vendors, and crafting stations.
  4. Return to the detail page to verify drops, prices, objectives, or requirements.

If you only know an item name, first use the item, mob, and NPC finding guide to identify the correct source and zone.
