Fantasy Online 2 Market Prices and Trusted Sales

Item pages publish a saved median and latest trusted sale only when the reviewed estimator has usable evidence. These numbers help compare the market's recent shape, but they are references—not live listings, guaranteed sale prices, or account-level transaction history.

Median price and latest trusted sale answer different questions

Median price is normally the middle value of a coherent group of independent sales; a lower reachable coin-shop price can cap it. It is designed to resist one extreme transfer. Latest trusted sale is the newest eligible single-item sale close enough to that accepted reference to be useful.

The database does not query the live market when a page opens. Values come from a reviewed, saved data snapshot so pages remain fast, cacheable, and safe to publish.

Obvious transfers are removed before estimating a price

The estimator starts from completed, single-item sales and rejects malformed prices and quantities. It then removes self-trades, same-day reciprocal transfers between the same two accounts, and repeated seller-to-buyer pairs beyond their newest eligible sale.

Account and character identifiers are used only by the private estimator to recognize those patterns. They are never serialized into the public database or its update snapshots.

The accepted median needs a coherent market cluster

The model checks bounded windows of the newest eligible history, retaining at most 100 independent sales. It looks for prices within a three-times band, enough distinct buyers, and seller participation that is consistent with an actual market. Competing clusters with similar support and very different prices are treated as ambiguous.

There is no arbitrary 30-day cutoff. Older trades can still provide evidence for an item that sells rarely. If an item is available from a reachable coin shop for less, that shop price acts as a ceiling.

Latest trusted sale does not mean the latest raw transfer

Once the median is accepted, the latest trusted sale is the newest independent sale priced between one-third and three times that median. A newer raw transfer can be ignored when it looks like a self-transfer, a repeated pair, a reciprocal exchange, a stack transfer, or an outlying coin movement.

Green and red arrows compare published weekly snapshots

An up arrow means the saved value increased since the prior published market snapshot; a down arrow means it decreased. The “from” value is the earlier snapshot, not an intraday ticker. Open database updates to review market changes separately from additions and other content changes.

Use market references as context, not a promise

  • Check live listings before buying or selling.
  • Expect rare items to change less often because evidence is sparse.
  • Prefer the median over one isolated sale when comparing items.
  • Use arrows to discover movement, not to predict future prices.
  • Treat a missing value as insufficient reviewed evidence.
